Faces : Unspoken

This selection of portraits represents a small part of an ongoing exploration of people, connection, and the stories held within individual faces and moments.

Many of these images have been created using 35mm and medium format film cameras, embracing the slower, more considered approach of analogue photography. Working with film encourages a more thoughtful process, allowing time for observation, conversation, and a genuine connection between photographer and subject.

My portrait practice is centred on the people I photograph — their character, presence, and the subtle details that reveal something of who they are. I aim to create images that move beyond a simple likeness, capturing moments of openness, individuality, and human connection.

The combination of analogue and digital processes allows me to explore the balance between the tactile qualities of film and the possibilities of contemporary photography, with each image shaped by both the person in front of the camera and the process of making the photograph.
